Recently, Australia faced a series of floods in the states of Queensland and Victoria which forced the evacuation of thousands of people from towns and cities. At least 70 towns and over 200,000 people were affected.
Sarah London, the queen of crazy crochet has put together a project to inject some sunshine and color into the lives of those affected by the floods as they begin to re-build and start over. She is asking for donations of granny squares which will then be made up into blankets to be distributed to those affected throughout Queensland and Victoria, providing comfort and color and as a reminder that there is always a rainbow after a storm.
